What could be the reason for a landlord rejecting your reservation request, and what can you do afterward? Find out in this article!
The landlord has rejected my reservation request. What should I do?
Reservation requests can be rejected for multiple reasons, but the most common ones are:
- you haven't filled in your profile properly so the landlord doesn't have enough information about you,
- the property is unavailable during the chosen dates,
- your reservation request hasn't met the requirements stated in the listing (e.g., the maximum number of tenants or no pets allowed).
If you'd like to learn the exact reason for the rejection of your reservation, you can find it in the Reservations section of your My Housing profile.
In case your reservation request gets rejected for a reason that can be fixed by you (for example, by sufficiently filling out your profile or responding to the landlord's additional questions), we recommend that you get everything in order and create a new reservation request afterward - either for the same listing or for a new one.
However, if the issue is on the landlord's side and cannot be changed (for example, the property's unavailability), you can make a new reservation request for another listing. There are many options available at Flatio, which we recommend filtering by your needs.
